Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Amphitheatre) is the premier music venue north of Atlanta. Set on 45 acres of beautifully landscaped wooded land in Alpharetta, GA, the venue is a unique setting for both music lovers and first-time concert goers. Located in the hot zone for Atlanta ticket sales, zip code reports begin in Ameris’ backyard, making it an easy and quick trip for fans to arrive for their favorite artist. Whether watching the show from the back of the lawn or the front row, every seat provides a great view as well as stunning acoustics.
Built in 2008, Ameris Bank Amphitheatre has welcomed every genre of music. From Tony Bennett to Stevie Wonder to Jeff Foxworthy, the venue has an event for every type of fan. Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Eagles, Earth, Wind & Fire, Foreigner, Rush, Luke Bryan, Styx, Train, and many more artists have returned multiple times to play this stage. Artists and their crew step off their busses to utilize ten state of the art dressing rooms, many equipped with private bathrooms and Hollywood style lighting. With catering and an outdoor hang area for backstage guests, Ameris offers exceptional amenities for every type of backstage experience.
The Amphitheatre quickly became characterized by its distinctive fan-shaped roof, comprised of a translucent cloth-like material, suspended over a steel-framed structural system, which is illuminated from the lights on stage once the sun goes down. The lower level chairs are completely removable, allowing a 3,000 capacity general admission area for fans to enjoy their evening standing next to their friends. Ameris Bank Amphitheatre’s scaling is also versatile. Capacities can range between 5200 to 6500 and maxing out at 12,500.
